If we lived in a sane world

Metal poisoning is such a big factor in so many health issues that we really need more research into proper chelation protocols and chelation alternatives.

I've never done proper chelation. I've written about this some in various places on this site. Metal poisoning comes from cheap aluminum pots and pans, lead pipes, lead paint and assorted other sources. It interferes with mental functioning and promotes infection and is a factor in stunting.

Most physicians do not really test for it, tend to not think it is an issue with their patients and usually have no idea how to properly treat it.

I got better in part because I belonged for a time to a discussion list that most likely no longer exists in any form because it was a Yahoo Group and those were discontinued and it was basically dying anyway before Yahoo Groups were discontinued. It was called autism-mercury and discussed alternative remedies trying to help children with autism.

One of the members was the late Dr. Andrew Hall Cutler, who authored a number of books. He was not a physician. He had a PhD in chemistry and did consulting work to support people doing chelation and was, at some point, dragged before a medical review board and ultimately told he could continue what he was doing as it did not constitute "practicing medicine without a license."

My understanding is his now out-of-print books were "gold standard" sources of info and the last time I looked they were selling on Amazon for hundreds of dollars a copy, so they appear to still be valued tremendously.

Someone -- not ME, mind you -- should really do something to further his work. Although we live in a toxic world, we do not yet train physicians to ASSUME that some kind of chemical exposure is a factor in the many incurable, "mystery" ailments we increasingly try to invent new drugs for so we can manage them for a profit without actually getting people well.

In a sane world, we would prioritize arranging our lives to minimize such exposure AND also train our physicians to ASSUME people are poisoned, try to determined what they are being poisoned by and TREAT that as one of the first things we do when someone is chronically ill or seriously ill.
